Long ago, when the realm was fledgling, the five Great Houses of the Valeria were constantly bickering, stealing, conspiring, and even assassinating each other ā€” all for the chance to become the wealthiest and most powerful House in the Kingdom! Thrones of Valeria evolved from those power struggles and has thrived among the common people looking to taste the tug-of-war of the nobles. Today, it is the sort of game travelers play in taverns for fun and money.

Thrones of Valeria is a trick-taking game where winning is based on the coins gained and not on the amount of tricks won. Each card has a special power that affects how game rounds unfold; causing the Great Houses (suits) to swing from the prestigious to the reviled ā€” from winning a small treasure to losing a small fortune. Thrones of Valeria features a standings board that tracks Great House prestige, chunky ""mahjong-style"" tiles to reflect the relative power of each House, a custom draw bag, coin tokens, and cards designed by The Mico.

Shipping

  • We ship items out Monday - Friday. Orders received by 9AM Central Time will be shipped out the same business day.
  • We utilize both USPS and UPS for shipping services. Both options should be displayed during checkout if the customer is paying for shipping.
  • If the order contains nothing but books, we can use USPS Media Mail to keep your shipping costs low. If board games are included on the order, we are unable to utilize Media Mail.
  • On orders that qualify for free shipping, we utilize the most cost-effective option based on the destination location (this is usually UPS).

Returns

New Items are able to be returned within 30 days of receipt in the same condition they were shipped in. New items that have been opened will not be accepted for return. Return shipping is at buyer's expense.

Used Items are able to be returned if they are found to not be in the described condition. Please contact us within 48 hours of receipt to discuss return options.
